Relocation
Conditions:
You
will be required to pay a liability bond of between $500 and $2500, dependant
on the supplier providing the service.This bond must be paid by Credit or Debit
Card on collection of the vehicle. The bond will be returned to the card at the
end of the trip, subject to the suppliers conditions:
Please note
that when booking a Relocation Special, if the vehicle booked becomes
unavailable for any reason, the supplier may provide another vehicle type,
subject to availability.
The
supplier has the right to cancel the relocation for any reason at any time
prior to pick up.
There is no
refund for late pick up or early return of the vehicle.
A booking
fee of $25 applies as well as a holding fee. This is charged to your card and
on pick up of the vehicle the holding fee is refunded. However in the event you
need to cancel your confirmed relocation booking, both the holding deposit and
booking fee will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.
From time
to time due to vehicle breakdowns and accidents, a supplier may cancel a
confirmed relocation booking. If this occurs, Standby Cars will attempt to find
an alternate vehicle to suit your needs or fully refund any funds paid to us at
time of booking if we cannot. This is the extent of our liability.
If you need
to make an amendment to an existing booking, a $25 amendment fee will apply.
If you are
booking a 4WD vehicle on a relocation deal, please note that due the heavily
reduced insurance policies on relocation vehicles, these types of vehicles
these vehicles are subject to the same conditions as 2WD vehicles and must not
be driven on unsealed roads.
Car rental Cancellation fees:
Once a booking is confirmed a NZ$30 cancellation fee will apply.
If cancelled within 1-8 days of picking up the vehicle, a cancellation fee of 50% of the rental will apply.
If cancelled on the day of pick up or a no show – NO REFUND.
